Caminante Lunar -Moonwalker

In this adventure the departure will be in the afternoon, around 19 hs, where you can

immerse yourself in a journey through time to 65 million years ago, when these forests experienced a geological cataclysm that petrified them.

Originally, these trees were not in their current location but were displaced by glaciers and rivers before being covered by sediment rich in mineral salts, causing them to become petrified. This phenomenon occurred during the Late Cretaceous, when volcanic activity swept through the region, leaving behind a petrified landscape that today amazes visitors.

The group embarks on a trek of approximately 3 hours, each visitor with front lanterns enjoy a safe walk , while exploring the vegetation and admiring the petrified trunks that lie between the Patagonian landscapes.

A specialist tour guide accompanies the group, sharing knowledge of the geology and natural history of the region.

Once the trek is complete, visitors will enjoy a home-made and energetic Box lunch , under the moonlight or under a starry sky! Contemplating the landscape THEY TRAVELED!

The group returns to El Calafate or El Chaltén around 2 AM APROX.

In this way, they will forever have the experience of having explored one of the most fascinating geological treasures of Patagonia.
