Glaciar Sur Pioneros
Two places and more experiences in a single day.
In a tour accessible to everyone, the tour begins in Calafate at 9:30 a.m., we travel 60 km along the ranch route to the Nibepo Aike ranch where passengers learn the history of its pioneers, and attend a shearing demonstration. scissors Around 12:30 we went to the Quincho to enjoy a grilled lamb accompanied by a salad bar, homemade flan with dulce de leche, non-alcoholic drinks and good wine.
After lunch we head to our port to board and sail to Playa de las Monedas in the Brazo Rico, there we disembark and after a quiet 30-minute walk through the lenga forest we go out to a viewpoint from where we can see the south face of the Moreno Glacier, and which only passengers who hire our excursion arrive. We embarked again to continue sailing in front of the south face. Before saying goodbye to the boat, the crew “fishes” an iceberg and offers a whiskey or Calafate liqueur and soft drinks with ice from the glacier, along with a sweet snack. At approximately 4:00 p.m. We arrive at the Bajo de las Sombras port and by vehicle the passengers go to the glacier walkways to arrive there at 4:15 p.m., where they will remain for around 1:30 p.m. and then return to Calafate via the traditional route.
It is important to note that upon arrival at the walkways, 90% of the visitors who left Calafate in the morning will have already returned to the city.
Includes: land and lake transfers, full lunch service, toast on the boat
It does not include entry to the National Park, which can be managed through the National Parks website.
Passengers are accompanied from the departure of Calafate by a bilingual guide (English/Spanish)
