Cerro Frias 4X4

The exciting 4x4 activity begins when we look for you at your hotel in El Calafate. After 20 minutes of travel we arrived at the ranch to embark on a unique adventure ascending Cerro Frías through a winding mountain road. Our first stop takes us to the first viewpoint, located 450 meters away. high, where we contemplate the spectacular main body of Lake Argentino that extends majestically before us and the beginning of its two most important arms where you can see the Devil's Mouth and the port of Punta Bandera. This stop offers the perfect opportunity to take photos and appreciate the natural beauty that surrounds us.

We continue ascending until we reach the summit, where the second viewpoint awaits us at 1095 meters above sea level. From this privileged point, we marvel at 360-degree panoramic views, to the west we can see the Los Glaciares National Park, to the south the Torres del Paine, the Cordón de los Cristales, the Brazo Rico (South) and even, in the distance on clear days, the imposing Cerro Fitz Roy.

We begin the descent along the south face of Cerro Frías, crossing a dense forest of native lenga trees.
